Corruption unplugged

New record of corruption will precipitate if a total investigation is made into what Shiela Dikchit has done in Delhi. Amount of underhand dealing in contract work valued rs35000 crore of rupees can be imagined by a layman easily. When a person becomes popular he becomes more prone to bad habits and there are more chances of committing fraud with the system. Now CVC and CBI have registered the case against so many persons involving so many contract work related to Common Wealth Game. But any result will come out of inquiry it doubtful. Even if result comes none of VIPs will by punished, this much is cent per cent certain.

This is India where CBI realizes after lapse of 26 years of Bhopal Gas tragedy that charges against accused should be restored. This is India where fresh inquiry after 26 years of Sikh riot has been initiated against Sajjan Kumar, Mp from Congress Party. This is India where Mr. V P Singh realized after 26 years that Rajiv Gandhi was innocent in Bofors scam despite the fact that he himself had resigned from Congress Government, dethroned Rajiv Gandhi, became Prime Minister and promised to prove charge against Rajiv Gandhi within 12 months of coming to power. This is India where Lalu Yadav Master of Chara Ghotala valued 1000 crore of rupees became Railway Minister of the country. This is India where files related to inquiry of stamp scam involving 35000 crores of rupees is still languishing in government almirah and one Telgi is put in jail to save thousand of other VIP culprits. And so on….
Corruption cannot end in India until government takes harsh steps to stop flattery. Yes man and bribe give equally responsible for rampant corruption and for damaging the right course of action. Looting of money from a person through bribe is less harmful than looting of pride, self respect of service men or businessmen or professionals. All is well sir or No Problem sir culture is killing the enthusiasm of real workers, real Indians and real businessmen because flatterers by dint of their actions hypnotize the top officials and ministers and get success in getting undue benefit or up gradation in service or better posting and quick promotion in service at the cost of many genuine workers.
CVC as such cannot stop corruption said to be rampant in work done for Common wealth Games in Delhi because they also become victim of this disease. CVC has to survive in the same system where perpetuators or corruption are sitting at the helm of affairs. Officers at vulnerable and responsible post at CVC or CBI or audit offices are chosen from a team of best flatterers. CVC has to be bold enough and has to stop corruption in transfers, posting and promotion as also in recruitment processes of government employees and bring about maximum transparency, eliminate the channel of Interview which gives rise to whimsical and biased decision. When honest and sincere officers are shunted in remote areas or posted in insignificant corners it is but natural that such officers will prefer indulging in flattery than wasting energy in good work.
CVC or for that matter Government of India has to make judicial process quick, affordable effective and honest so that victim of the system may approach court without any fear of repercussion. Fear of punishment may only keep flatterers and corrupt person away from the system. Similarly media has to take pro active and innovative initiatives to expose corrupt practices, conduct sting operation and do all acts deemed fit to expose the mischievous elements occupying top posts in government offices, ministry , banks, insurance companies, CBI, vigilance department, judiciary, tax departments etc who sell transfer, posting and promotions in service sector or who willfully torture and blackmail a good businessmen who do not flatter or bribe an officer. Undoubtedly some TV channels like IBN has been doing some work in this line. I salute them.
Latest news of corruption is that a few MLAs of Jharkhand state sold their votes in Rs.50 lacs to rupees one crore to RS candidates during recently held Rajya Sabha election. This is not a new event or astonishing case of corruption in Indian politics. . In past too, MLAs were found to sell their votes. MPs sold votes to ensure victory of Narsimha Rao Government, MPs earned money by raising questions during question hours on behalf of those who paid money, and MPs have quarreled with chairs and tables in Parliament, indulged in road side like fights in Parliament and state assemblies.

If any investigating agency inquires honestly and sincerely about real growth of assets of MLA and MPs and their family (members pre and post election) they will definitely find a multifold growth. An MLA who could not repay his IRDP loan in a village in Jharkhand became owner of property of worth hundred of crores of rupees after becoming minister. People have seen the charisma of Madhu Koda and Sibu Soren.
There are thousands of MPs and MLAs (ex or serving) in India whose property have gone upto fifty and hundred crores after their election in assembly or in Parliament. But who will investigate.

In present case of CWG even ex Vigilance Commissioner says to star TV that he was directed not to interfere in CWG affairs. As such CBI officers or Vigilance officers, all fear of remote posting or non promotion in career if they go against the wishes of ruling party.

When Masters (of Corruption) and Doctors (in Corruption) are sitting on top posts in all offices, there is none who is bold enough to correct the corrupt system.
